What can one say but perseverance pays off! Way to go Filippo Brunelleschi for creating what had never been created before. For not standing by and letting the guild take credit for your design, for not letting Lorenzo push you around! The Cathedral of Florence; other had carefully avoided tackling the dome, for they had no idea of how to tackle such a feat.

i agree. after reading about his struggles and triumph i had to go and look at pictures of the cathedral. It is very impressive to say the least.
